Job Description

Shutdown Millwright required for turnaround work in Baytown. Perform critical path equipment repairs during plant outages with tight schedule constraints. Remove, rebuild, and reinstall pumps, turbines, compressors, and gearboxes. Execute precision alignment to OEM specifications using laser alignment systems. Replace bearings, seals, couplings, and wear components. Perform in-place machining and field modifications as required. Coordinate rigging and equipment moves with crane operators. Document all work performed and verify proper clearances before startup. Work efficiently under pressure to meet turnaround milestones. Experience with refinery or petrochemical shutdowns strongly preferred. Schedule is 7 days per week with 12 hour shifts. Full per diem and travel accommodations provided.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years millwright experience with turnaround and shutdown work. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under tight schedule pressure. Experience with turbines, compressors, and critical rotating equipment. Proficiency with precision alignment to OEM specifications. Knowledge of in-place machining and field modification techniques. Must pass drug screen, background check, and site-specific requirements. OSHA 30 and confined space certifications required. TWIC card required for refinery and petrochemical sites. Must be available for 7 day work weeks during peak periods. Own tools and reliable transportation required.
