Job Description

Pipefitter Apprentice opportunity in Madison. Start your pipefitting career with hands-on training on industrial projects. Learn to read isometric drawings and piping specifications. Assist journeymen with pipe fit-up, alignment, and support installation. Gain experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping systems. Learn proper flange assembly, gasket selection, and bolt torquing. Develop skills in pipe cutting, beveling, and preparation. Understand slope requirements and proper drainage techniques. Practice safe rigging and material handling procedures. Work with experienced craftsmen who will mentor your development. This position offers excellent earning potential as you advance in the trade. Schedule is 5 days per week with 10 hour shifts. Per diem available for those who qualify.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18 years old with valid identification. Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in the pipefitting trade. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in various positions. Comfortable working at heights with proper fall protection. Reliable transportation to job site required. OSHA 10 certification preferred but can be obtained after hire. Must own basic hand tools. Ability to work overtime when required. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
