Job Description

Instrument Technician for commissioning in Shreveport. Install and calibrate industrial instrumentation for process control systems. Mount transmitters, control valves, and field devices per specifications. Run instrument tubing and ensure proper support and protection. Terminate instrument cables and verify loop wiring accuracy. Calibrate pressure, temperature, level, and flow instruments. Perform loop checks and troubleshoot signal issues. Document calibration results and maintain equipment records. Configure smart instruments using HART communicators. Support control system checkout and commissioning activities. Work with DCS technicians on control loop tuning. Must have instrumentation experience in industrial environments. Schedule is 6 days per week with 10 hour shifts. Per diem provided.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years instrumentation experience in industrial settings. Experience installing and calibrating pressure, temperature, level, and flow instruments. Knowledge of instrument tubing installation and support requirements. Ability to perform loop checks and troubleshoot signal issues. Experience with smart instruments and HART communicators. Must pass drug screen and background check. OSHA 10 certification required. ISA certification preferred. Own calibration tools and reliable transportation required.
