Job Description
Rigger for industrial construction in Lincoln. Perform rigging activities for industrial equipment and material handling. Select appropriate slings, shackles, and rigging hardware for loads. Calculate load weights and determine proper rigging configurations. Inspect rigging equipment daily and remove damaged items from service. Attach rigging to loads using proper choking and hitching methods. Use tag lines to control loads during crane operations. Maintain exclusion zones and barricade swing radius areas. Communicate with crane operator using standard hand signals. Position loads precisely for equipment setting and installation. Document rigging activities and maintain equipment inventory. Must have rigging experience and understand load dynamics. Schedule is 6 days per week with 10 hour shifts. Per diem provided.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years rigging experience in industrial construction. Knowledge of sling capacities, hitch configurations, and load angles. Experience calculating load weights and center of gravity. Ability to select appropriate rigging hardware for various loads. Knowledge of crane signals and communication procedures. Experience maintaining exclusion zones and area control. Must pass drug screen and background check. OSHA 10 certification required. Rigging certification preferred. Own hand tools and reliable transportation required.
