Job Description
Instrument Lead for startup project in Louisville. Lead instrumentation activities during commissioning and startup phase. Coordinate loop check sequences with operations and controls teams. Troubleshoot complex instrument and control valve issues. Verify instrument configurations match data sheets and P&IDs. Support control narrative testing and interlock verification. Manage punch list items and track to completion. Interface with vendor representatives on specialized equipment. Review calibration documentation for accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams on system turnover. Report progress and issues to commissioning management daily. Must have instrument lead experience on startup projects. Schedule is 6 days per week with 10 hour shifts. Lead rates with full per diem.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years instrumentation experience with startup and commissioning work. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex instrument and control valve issues. Experience leading loop check activities and coordinating with controls teams. Knowledge of instrument data sheets, P&IDs, and loop diagrams. Experience with DCS and PLC interface points. Must pass drug screen and background check. OSHA 30 certification required. ISA certification preferred. Strong documentation and communication skills required.
