Job Description

Ironworker Foreman to supervise crew in Corpus Christi. Lead ironworker crew on structural steel erection projects. Plan erection sequences and coordinate crane activities. Verify steel deliveries match erection schedule priorities. Ensure proper rigging and lift procedures are followed. Monitor bolt-up activities and torque documentation. Coordinate with welders for connection completion. Enforce fall protection and elevated work safety requirements. Track erection progress and tonnage installed daily. Interface with general contractor on sequencing and access. Manage crew assignments and timekeeping responsibilities. Must have foreman experience on industrial structural steel projects. Schedule is 6 days per week with 10 hour shifts. Foreman rates with full per diem provided.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years ironworker experience with 2 years as foreman. Proven leadership and crew coordination abilities. Strong drawing reading and erection planning skills. Experience coordinating crane activities and rigging operations. Knowledge of bolt torquing and connection documentation requirements. Ability to enforce safety requirements including fall protection. Must pass drug screen and background check. OSHA 30 certification required. First aid and CPR training preferred. Computer literacy for reporting and timekeeping.
